Teja or Agni is best understood as the principle of intelligence which causes all conversion or transformation

Sight is associated with the element of Agni. Not only does Agni allow us to see form and degrees of dark and light, it allows us to see colour
It has a strong taste and it is linked to colour and touch.
The gunas or qualities of Teja are hot, sharp, light, dry and subtle. The actions, or Karmas, or Teja/Agni are brilliance, luminosity, penetration and intelligence. Therefore someone with a balanced fire element will often have a luminous presence.
As it is winter here in Perth, it is important to focus on keeping the Agni strong. This promotes regular body temperature and optimal digestive function.
