Emma has been interested in the human body and health and wellness since childhood. For as far back as she can remember she would question why and how diseases treated people differently, how could she be the healthiest version of herself and then how could she help others to find the same. She loved folk medicine, in particular how cultures could transform everyday foods, herbs, and plants into medicine just by changing the way we consume them. And that this knowledge was passed through the generations remaining as powerful today as when it was first spoken of.
Emma began her career in complimentary medicine back in 2008. Working in day spas and physiotherapy clinics during the day, with evenings spent assisting physiotherapists for Australian cricket and rugby teams.
In 2013 she attended an open night at a small college in Perth and her life set off on a new and wonderful trajectory. The Ayurvedic practices the lectures were speaking about that night brought her a sense of belonging, they just made sense. Ayurveda had found her.
She enrolled immediately in the Advanced Diploma of Ayurveda Course and while continuing to work as a therapist and raising her 2 children she completed her studies.
Ayurveda feeds Emmas thirst for ongoing study and self-discovery. Since graduating Emma has furthered her studies by completing Marma Therapy courses, a Diploma of Champissage and most recently the mentoring programme at Lakshmi.
Understanding and practising Ayurveda has brought an exciting dynamic to her work and has changed her and her children’s lives for the better. She is still in love with the tactile, hands-on aspect of healing but now feels she can do more than just fix broken people; she can help people regain control of their lives; targeting areas of concern before injury and illness ensue.
Her goal is to share Ayurveda; its knowledge of body and mind awareness so others can use it to make the most of their lives.

Ayurveda is my dharma, my joyful purpose in life and I am so grateful for all the experiences that led me to become an Ayurvedic practitioner.
In 2014 I decided to set myself on an adventure and move from Italy to Australia with no plans whatsoever apart from self-discovery.
I quit my corporate job and attended my first yoga teacher training which made me want to delve deeper into yogic studies. Since then I have taken several Yin yoga teacher trainings and am charmed by the wisdom of Chinese medicine. My yoga practice involves a great emphasis on meridians and our subtle body too. Yoga opened many doors for me but above them all the one into Ayurveda.
As Jyotish clearly says in my birth chart, I was born to be in service of others and it is my joyful purpose in this life to empower other human beings to experience a real sense of health through the gift of Ayurveda. It took me a bachelor’s degree in architecture, a career in sales, and three years of studies while being a mum to become an Ayurvedic practitioner. I can see now that every adventure was leading me towards the fulfilment of my dharma.
In this never-ending journey of learning and growing, Ayurveda was delivered to me when I was ready. I believe that when we are ready to receive what is meant for us, no one can take it away.
It is a privilege for me to be part of what Karin has created here at her authentic temple of health - Lakshmi Ayurveda, and it is a strong call of mine to help those who trust in my work to understand their nature and fulfil their potential through the lens of Ayurveda.
I grew up in Italy and travelled on an adventure to Australia without knowing it would become the place I now call home. Passionate about photography, food, sports, wildlife and the ocean, I try to stay connected through my feet and hands to all the beauty that mother Earth has gifted to us.
I discovered Ayurveda thanks to my partner’s studies and we both have taken on this journey with curiosity and dedication.
After receiving my first Abhyanga massage, I experienced the power one can receive through the sense of touch. I have always used my hands in a very technical way to create things and when I decided to study to become a massage therapist, I knew I wanted to use his hands again to channel promote a deep sense of wellbeing.
I always say: “every time I get to give a massage is like I am practicing on my own body. I want to focus on what I give because it is what I will receive back. And in that energy I put all my passion, dedication and love”
I also have a great understanding of injuries due to my early sport career as a professional soccer player which lead me through many recovery protocols from personal experience.
I’ve completed my Abhyanga Ayurvedic therapist certification with Karin. She is a great teacher and I am so grateful to be offering my skills at Lakshmi Ayurveda – I couldn’t ask for better people to work with.

Hi, my name is Zdenka. Originally from Czech Republic but have been living in Australia for more than 10 years.
I have discovered Ayurveda through my own healing journey after suffering from a digestive disease and unhealthy eating habits. By implementing Ayurvedic principles and having guidance from Ayurvedic practitioner, I was able to understand and tune into my body.
Yes, I became my own healer.
This led me to start studying Ayurveda and going deeper with the knowledge, so that one day I could also help others to discover their own healing journey.
I believe that making a little change in your life can be a first step to a path of balance and wellness.
Come to experience healing therapeutic treatments at Lakshmi Ayurveda.
