Especially during the winter month ayurveda emphasises to avoid cold and raw food this includes cold drinks and juices. If you are fruit juice lover try a hot apple juice, this is great on a chilly winter day and will not diminish your Agni / digestive fire. This is a very popular drink in german and swiss ski resorts.
Ingredients 1 cup apple juice 1.5 cup water 1 cinnamon stick Pinch of nutmeg
Combine all the ingredients in a stainless steel pot. Simmer over medium heat until nice and hot.
Enjoy your hot apple drink it will give hydration to the plasma (rasa dhatu).
