The story behind Lakshmi Ayurveda

My name is Karin and I am the Founder of Lakshmi Ayurveda Academy, a fully equiped Panchakarma clinic and training centre located in Fremantle Western Australia.
It really is a dream come true and I would have never imagined after leaving India in 2008 where I completed my post graduate internship (Bachelor degree of Ayurveda) that authentic Ayurveda will flourish and be loved by so many here in Australia.
Many times I get asked the question, how we decided to call the clinic Lakshmi Ayurveda?
So, why Lakshmi Ayurveda?
Shri Lakshmi the goddess of beauty, love, good fortune, prosperity and abundance.
It was at our wedding at Shri Dharmasthala (Karnataka) that we had the honour with the presence of Dr Sri Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala.
What a magical ceremony we are forever grateful.
Prior to our wedding, rituals including Go Prasavashanti, Navagrahashanti and Laja Homa were performed to cleanse.
Then an Indian name was given to us.
Lance was given the name Sridhara and myself Lakshmi.
And this was the day when Lakshmi Ayurveda was born.
So special to be gifted an Indian name, all this is due to the blessings of my guru and teachers.
We are forever grateful and bow to you.
