Triphala guggulu is a classical Ayurvedic Medicine preparation. The reference is found in the Sarangadhar Samhita M. K. 7,82-83

The Ayurvedic actions are
Lekhana - scrapes toxins
Rakta shodhana- blood purifier
Bhagandara - treats anal fistula
Arsoghna - treats haemorrhoids
Srotorodhaghna - alleviates obstruction in the srotas/ channel

Ingredients;
1. Amalaki
2. Bibhitaki
3. Haritaki
4. Pippali
5. Shuddh guggulu
6. Water as required 
7. Ghrita as required

How does the Medicine work?
❤️Triphala cleanses the bowels
❤️Pippali enkindles the Agni, burns away Ama and relieves Vata type of pains
❤️Guggulu- scrapes the channels and clears Ama, it works as an anti inflammatory and works on the meda dhatua

The Dosage is 2 tablets, 2 x daily after food
Anupana: ushna jala, Triphala Kwatha

Its energetics are
Rasa/ taste: bitter, pungent, astringent and sweet
Virya/ energy: heating
Vipaka/ post digestive taste: pungent
Guna/ qualities: light, dry
Dosa effect: VPK =
Dhatu/ tissues: Plasma, blood, muscle, fat
Srotas/ channel: circulatory, digestive, respiratory, excretory

Other Indications
Heart: ❤️
Useful in atherosclerosis, angina pains

GI tract:
Poor digestion, Ama with Kapha symptoms, slow digestion, low metabolism, tiredness, obesity.

Lungs:
Congested lung conditions, to clear excess Kapha. Also for sinus congestion, post nasal drip and rhinitis
