If you have been to the Lakshmi clinic for a treatment, it is very likely that you had a lemon verbena tea offered to you. Our current favourite tea.
In Ayurveda, lemon verbena is used for its aromatic and digestive properties. Itโs believed to help balance the digestive system and promote healthy digestion. Additionally, its calming scent is used in aromatherapy to alleviate stress and promote relaxation.
Due to its antioxidant, astringent, antibacterial and calming properties it is a very popular herb in skincare products.
Lemon verbena can be used in various ways:
1. Culinary Use: Add fresh or dried lemon verbena leaves to teas, salads, dressings, marinades, desserts and sweet and savoury dishes
2. Herbal Tea: Steep fresh or dried lemon verbena leaves in hot water to make a soothing and aromatic herbal tea. This is one of our favourite teas ๐ชท
3. Aromatherapy: Crush fresh lemon verbena leaves and add them to your bath. This is just pure bliss
4. Potpourri: Dry lemon verbena leaves and mix them with other dried herbs and flowers to create fragrant potpourri for your home. Or make some herbal sachets for your drawers and closet. Get creative ๐
Lemon verbena is wonderful for skin care, great to use for a homemade facial toner or facial steam.
You will love the fragrance ๐๐๐
Stop by the Lakshmi shop for cup of lemon verbena tea.
