It is the perfect combo of spices to cuddle and treat you this time of the year, as it gets cold and wet. We roast, grind and pack the spices here at the Lakshmi clinic and put the mix in tiny pouches you can find at the shop in one of our baskets of home made products. Ask at the reception if you can’t find them or order online from anywhere within Australia.
Ayurveda suggests a seasonal regimen called Ritucharya that in the colder months privileges foods like cereals and pulses, wheat/gram flour items and spices such as Ginger and Pippali (Piper longum), along with sugary items like Coconut sugar, Honey or Maple syrup.
If you are in need of balancing your dosha though, let us offering you a few suggestions of products combo from pour shop, ideal for a breakfast topping.
Vata balancing: Cinnamon (warming), Maple syrup (sweet), Ashwagandha powder (calming) and Salt (to retain moisture in the tissue and pacifying dryness)
Pitta balancing: Raisin (balancing a whole range of Pitta-related conditions), Coconut sugar (sweet, again very good of Pitta Dosha) and Pitta churna (containing spices like cardamom and coriander)
Kapha balancing: Honey (scraping), Cinnamon (warming) and our product of the month Kapha churna (containing spices like Turmeric and black pepper)
If you would like to explore more of our range of products, come find us at the shop. We would love for you to browse and help with further recommendation.
