Ayurvedic Approach to Hay Fever
The classical texts of Ayurveda explain hay fever in depth. Known as Pratishyaya in the Madhava Nidanam, treatment would depend on the unique characteristics of the individual client. In general, a few Ayurvedic tips for hay fever are as follows:

    • Neti Pot: Check out our previous video on how to perform Jala Neti.

    • Nasya Treatment Add nasya to your morning routine. Anu Thailam is a great oil to use for hay fever but should be discussed with your practitioner prior to use.

    • Dhumapana see our post from last week for more information about medicated smoke inhalation.

    • Ayurvedic herbs Trikatu is made up of three spices - Ginger, black pepper and pippali. Trikatu has a pinasaghna effect, meaning it alleviates nasal congestion. It is also great for digesting AMA (digestive toxins).

The best hay fever treatment program would include first speaking with your Ayurvedic practitioner to determine which products would be most suitable for you. Booking is available via our bio.
