Lepana Treatment

In these photos, the client is undergoing a Lepana treatment. This client has Fibromyalgia, upper back and general body pains. The treatment is also great for treating cervical spondylosis, osteoarthritis and many other conditions.

The powder of Ayurvedic herbs is combined with lemon juice, rock salt and warm oil. The client will first have a massage at the localised area and the warm paste will be applied. After application, castor leaves, called Eranda Patra, will be applied on top of the paste 

We recently spoke about the benefits of castor oil. Not only is castor oil beneficial in Ayurveda, but we also use castor leaves in a number of Ayurvedic treatments - they are great for treating pain and swelling.

The client will leave the paste on for about 30 minutes ⏰
