Ayurvedic Cooking and Nutrition Workshop

In this workshop, you will be given the opportunity to expand upon your knowledge of Ayurvedic nutrition and learn how to cook classic Ayurvedic recipes Kitchari and Masoor Dhal. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with experience in Ayurvedic cooking.

We will discuss fundamental Ayurvedic principles, such as the Panchamahabhutas, Doshas, Dhatus, Gunas, Agni and Ama leading into Ayurvedic Nutrition. The 6 tastes, 8 factors affecting food, guidelines for healthy eating and how to set up an Ayurvedic kitchen are all covered in the workshop.

We will finish the day cooking Kitchari and Masoor Dhal and explore the qualities of the spices used.
